I've been to Hostel Romantik quite a few times, value for money is fine. It's just that this place is not for every one. Many people complained about smoking - now you really can't smoke inside. Would be good if someone cleaned the fridge. The shower is hot, there is a washing machine you can use. I remember this place from 2012 and it was cleaner then, it's OK now.

No wifi in rooms, there were problems using it in the lobby. Still, one of the better places to stay in Beijing.

We had really great time there, would definitely stay again.

In general we had really good time but there is only bathroom/toilet for all the dorms and sometimes you may have to wait a bit longer than you'd like to. The whole rest was perfect.

We had really good time there but the staff is not the fastest and the most informative in the world. We highly recommend booking private rooms, not dormitories - common toilets are not great. The courtyard is really atmospheric and great for spending time in the evenings.

It's probably the best hostel in China. The staff is friendly, qualified, they speak perfect English, are very helpful and patient. It's so clean and civilised that we felt like staying there forever. They send really exhaustive information how to get to their place. I can't recommend this place enough. It may not be the cheapest option in town but it's definitely worth your money.

The place is not very easy to find and when I sent an email, they did not reply. Now Google Maps don't work in China and I wish you luck with finding the place without them. From the railway station: take the bus number 33, after a few stops (~10 minutes) get off by the fire station, walk back and turn left, walk straight for 200m. The place is fine, they have a nice bar and are friendly but there are only two bathrooms and you often have to wait. There is not much in the neighbourhood.

We had really great time there, staff was very helpful and extremely nice, the place is clean and big. It may not be the easiest one to find but it's definitely worth the effort. Highly recommended!

It's really a great place to stay, apart from the fact that a family of Indians joined our dormitory. I don't think that children should be allowed to sleep in dorms. The whole rest was fine, though their prices of food and drinks are rather high.

We were more or less 300m away from the bathroom, not really great in the middle of the night. Our hut was quite old, there were holes in the walls, so there were insects inside our room. WiFi was available only around the reception desk, it was actually easier to connect to one of the neighboring resorts (yeah, sure, we didn't go there for the internet, but...). The restaurant was seriously overpriced. Good things: the area is great, the view is gorgeous, plus, there are some monkeys.

The place is quite hard to find, about 2km from the BTS station. There are many shops and a nice market (food & clothes) near the station. We've had a problem with the owners - they said that the price on hostelworld is wrong and we should pay 3 times more for our room or sleep in a dorm. After a short arguement they decided to put just the two of us in a 3-bed dorm. There are free towels in the rooms and bathrooms are equipped with soap and shampoo. The place is quiet and calm.

It was ok, we had to stay one night only. Staff on duty didn't know much English, but we communicated somehow. The bathrooms were rather cold (what's not so great in January).

Our stay was great thanks to Richard who helped us with everything, especially with our lost luggage. He showed plenty of understanding and devoted his time to our problem. I've travelled a lot in China but I have never met anyone as helpful as he was. The hostel is really well designed, they have everything what you may need, the internet worked also inside the room (what isn't standard in China).

I had great time there, nice, clean and very well located place. Would be great if they could update their common room computers cos most of the websites didn't work too well due to old versions of browsers.

I enjoyed myself, staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, I'd say the only thing I didn't like was the overpriced bar. There were some minor problems with wifi for one day, but they fixed them pretty soon.
