As far as the accommodation is concerned, Montarina offers you three different room categories: Backpackers-rooms (hostel rooms), Hotel Antique-rooms (historic rooms with running water) and Hotel Comfort-rooms (hotel rooms with bath and all modern facilities).

The Hotel & Hotel Montarina is open all year round and offers you a daily breakfast-service for CHF 18.- / per person.
During the summer you will enjoy the beautiful outdoor swimming-pool in our palm-park.
We are looking forward to welcome you in Lugano with great pleasure.

Please take note:
By check-in all booked guests need to present a valid document (ID or Passport)

Group booking (from 10 people) are only accepted through the hostel bookers office.

The hostel is located just right next to the train station and has a short walk to everywhere in the town. Once we checked in, we got these tickets so we could use the public transportation free of charge! We had booked the 16-bed-dorm but got a 12-bed-dorm so that was a nice surprise too. The hostel was very clean and had a nice athmosphere. They even had this small kitchen where we could cook our breakfast! Highly recommending this place!

Nice hostel with good location and great amenities. Only issue was the lack of plug sockets. No way to charge devices in the dorm room. Good place to stay for a night as steps away from train station

This hostel is part of a hotel which is why you have amenities I never had at any other hostel: Access to a swimming pool, one of the best hotel breakfasts I ever experienced (for 15CHF), and a large property with palm trees on it. Also, free public transport! It's conveniently located super close to the train station. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. However, I didn't experience much of a hostel atmosphere. Maybe because my 16-bed dorm was barely occupied.
