Overall an ok stay. The air con is only on between 22 (10PM) and 11, so it can be a bit warm in the Cambodian heat. The location is ok, not that many cheap food options close by and you have to take a boat to see most places. (Can be expected on an island tho). When the tide is low the beach isn’t the best.

The cleaning staff came into the room quite early, turned the aircon off and left the door open so it heated up quickly. Lady at reception wasnt very friendly and was quite rude to some guests but she did help me out with tickets. Its right on the beach like every other hostel but it was 20 mins walk along the beach from the pier the boat went to.

Overall decent hostel, really good food and probably the most reasonably priced on Saracen bay. Okay dorms, pretty much always sandy but what do you expect! My only qualm is they advertise aircon, but only turn it on 10-10- they will not turn air con on before 10pm, and most of the time you have to ask because they forget. And you wake up sweating because they seem to have come in early in the morning to turn it off to save electricity? So there was no rest from the heat
