The recently-opened Generator Hostel Dublin is a ‘very stylish hostel’ which our reviewers frequently compare favourably to a hotel, with one Hostelworld user saying it’s ‘like a fine hotel for a college travellers’, while another says it feels like ‘a nice hotel for the price of a hostel’. This spacious and modern boutique-style hostel is ‘comfortable, clean and beautiful’ according to our guests. There’s an on-site bar and café as well as ‘excellent’ keycard security.
The hostel is cool, trendy, well located...but we found B-: Dublin is a very expensive city & the hostel is not cheap either (especially on saturday nights!)& it has no kitchen nor fridge for guests kind of forcing you to eat out, which is inconvenient when you're on a budget, even more since there is a great food market right in front of it! Also, for some reason, the hostel made my friend pay to keep her luggage secured when she checked out at 10AM (quite early) when her flight was at 7PM.
