Santa Teresa and Mal Pais are rather remote beach towns, and that is what makes them so special! Thankfully, even though we are a little off the beaten path, there are still quite a few services available to visitors. This is a excellent area to relax practicing of Yoga and Surf.
On the first floor, we have six private rooms, ideal for single travelers, couples or pairs of friends. The rooms have either a double bed or two single beds. We also have two larger private rooms on the first floor, each with beds for three people. Scroll down for photos and prices for our private rooms. Upstairs you will find the apartment plus three additional rooms with varying capacities, featuring exterior doors as well as interior doors connecting to the apartment. An abundance of shared bathrooms are also located on the first floor (there are many to choose from and they are always clean!).
We also have two well-equipped communal kitchens, including our signature chef’s kitchen, complete with a professional quality stove, microwave, blenders, and a giant stainless steel refrigerator. We offer a amazing Yoga deck with every day class. Our helpful, bilingual staff is always ready to help plan other tours and activities in the area, including surf lessons, canopy tours, stand up paddleboarding (SUP), visits to nearby waterfalls, fishing, sailing, snorkeling, horseback riding, ATV rentals and more. We can also assist you with restaurant recommendations, reservations and travel planning, so your trip can be totally relaxing and worry-free!

I liked the vibe of the place and that they offer yoga classes. Perfect location! Good offer. But the Bathrooms were not really clean at any times. Shower and toilet are not separated from each other so often when people use the shower even the toilet is wet. The dorm was okay. No AC and old bunk beds. But one thing that really destroyed the experience for me was that I didn’t get back my key deposit even though I gave back the key. The lady at the reception apparently didn’t know that she has to give it ba

great hostel! very chill vibes. great location, so close to the beach and within a short walk to everything you may need! super kind staff, and delicous coffee, bread, snd fruit for breakfast!
only con was that the dorm i stayed in was extremely hot at night, too hot to relax in, very sweaty lol. also- not all of the beds have outlets, so be sure to bring a portable charger!
great hostel, would stay again if i return to santa teresa :)

This is a decent place to stay in Santa Teresa, especially if you are looking for more of a chill vibe.
Pros
- Lots of cooking space and well equipped kitchens
- Yoga on-site (although you have to pay)
- a stones throw from the beach
- friendly staff
- nice, communal vibe (at least when I was there)
Cons
- not many bathrooms for a lot of people, bathrooms were often dirty and not much space
