We loved our stay here - the owners are such lovely people and the bar downstairs is a great place to chat with locals and other travellers - you even get a welcome drink! Bar closes at 10 and guests are expected to go to sleep at 11 so that other guests are not disturbed as the house is traditional and old and therefore loud, which is good. very close to the station as well. would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Hiroshima.

I cannot say enough how wonderful this hostel and its owner, Mako is. It is definitely an older Japanese style home and with that comes the steep stairs and sliding doors and windows. That said, Mako keeps the place impeccably clean and inviting. When i had arrived, I was suffering from a dental emergency and needed help. Mako made calls for me so I would get medical attention. I will be returning to this hostel again
