We are very convenient for sightseeing, with Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and Houhai pub street, just 15minutes bike ride away. Wangfujing shopping street is less than 15mimute walking.

Arriving in a new country is always an adventure, and ours couldn't have started at a better place: the Beijing Yue Xuan Courtyard Hostel. Our experience in this accommodation was beyond fantastic: the hostel is well-located, the hutong is traditional, beautiful, and full of life, and the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. Moreover, the staff, Huey and Zoe, were really kind, they helped us a lot and they made us feel at home. I would not change a single detail of the experience. Thanks! :)

Leaky bedroom roof that the staff at the hostel seemed unwilling to do anything about, even though they seemed aware of it before my arrival. Slept in a room with a wet floor and water being caught by cups and towels on the floor.

I’ve now stayed at 3 hostels in Beijing and Shanghai, and map has been very wrong every time. So it’s very hard to find down a walking alley that connects two alleys that are barely drivable. But once you find it, the staff are nice, the cameras provide good security, everything is reasonably priced, and the beds are soft. The WiFi is slow though if that’s important to you.
