Laura's Backpacker 523 in Yogyakarta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a terrace. Popular points of interest nearby include Taman Sari, Fort Vredeburg and Sultan's Palace. Our hostel located in small alley but right in the hearts of Yogyakarta city. It is easy and safe to travelled in and out the city from the hostel..All guest rooms feature bed linen, blankets, towels and some of the rooms has aircon or fan.
à la carte and Indonesian breakfast and dinner options are available every morning at the hostel.
Check in time is at 2pm everyday, but you could request an early check in and its possible if we still have beds. This is a hostel with simple dormitory style beddings and we rent per bed.
Towels and blankets are included in the price, but you have to put deposit that you can also get locker key with the deposit.
We have some dorm with aircon or fan, please make sure you choose the right types according to your likes.
Please respect other travellers in the same room by not making loud noises when they are sleeping, we have common area for that.

Owner is nice and pretty good location. However cleanliness could improve, probably a better deal to stay in the dorms vs the private rooms. Owner is nice though with lots of recommendations.
PS Borobudur and Prambanan are closed on mondays now

The social aspect here was lovely. Laura spoke to everyone at dinner and sometimes brought along her snakes (if you want to say hi)! Breakfast and dinner are free and pretty filling and tasty. Staff are very helpful with recommendations and can also help with booking trains for example.
This was the first hostel I’ve been to without curtains for each bed, and the beds were a bit creaky! The bathrooms were ok (showers and toilet in the same enclosed space) - hot water available.
