Jacobs Inn is set near Connolly Station and Busaras, Dublin's main bus station, making this location convenient for travellers going to and from the rest of Ireland. This hostel has been with Hostelworld for more than a decade and guests frequently compare it favourably to a hotel. Visitors tell us the walking tour is a great way to hit the highlights of Dublin if you're only there for a short time. We like that all the rooms are ensuite and judging from the reviews it seems our guests do, too.

So why choose us? Jacobs Inn is a funky, comfortable hostel with a wide range of accommodation options for the individual backpacker, families and groups of all sizes. All of our guests can enjoy ensuite showers and toilets and cool bar and restaurant.
You can avail of accommodation in twin or double rooms or stay in our signature POD beds. The pod beds designed by CoDE Hostels give you all the privacy you need in a shared dorm without losing the option to socialize with your rooms mates. The dorm rooms are among the largest and most spacious in Dublin. Our dorms, range from four pods to twelve. All pods have individual lockers and are coded with your own personal four-digit code - no padlocks required!
Before your busy day, enjoy our new bottomless porridge breakfast. It is tasty, vegan, gluten-friendly and a great way to start your day. For €6 you get as much porridge as you can eat, with premium toppings such as chia seeds, hazelnuts, dates, cranberries, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, raisins, coconut flakes and more. All this is paired with fresh orange juice and hot coffee - bottomless as well! If you're craving something more, we have a fantastic menu at our restaurant where you can grab a latte or a bacon roll for sit-in or take-away. Get your day started off right!
In our bar and restaurant we offer food and drinks during your stay, a great place to fuel up for your adventures around Dublin!
Wouldn't you like to stay in the best city centre location? Of course you would...well, Jacobs Inn couldn't have a better location to explore the city. Outside is the direct bus from Dublin Airport - take the 747 bus and get here from the airport in only 25 minutes! We're also opposite Busaras, the central bus station. It's only 50m from here to Connolly train station and 20m to the LUAS, while O'Connell St is just 500m away. It's an easy walk to the O2 and Croke Park and only three DART stops to the Aviva Stadium. All tourist attractions, restaurants, bars and shops (including Trinity College and Temple Bar) are but a short stroll away.
You can chat with our friendly staff and get their advice on how best to enjoy our beautiful city. They can even sell you tickets for the best tours!
- Groups of 8 or more persons will need to pay a damage deposit and sign our Code of Conduct on arrival. These groups must also pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the stay and pay the remaining balance 4 weeks prior to arrival. No refund will be given for group reservations cancelled within 4 weeks prior arrival..
- We have security cameras in the public areas..

Pods were so nice and comfy! Lockers worked well. A bit annoying, that there was only one bathroom in the room and then some cold showers in a different floor. In my opinion this wasn't the easiest hostel to socialise, because there is only a bar and then hangout room is basically a kitchen. But I would still recommend the place! ðŸ‘😊

I enjoyed staying at Jacob's Inn because of the convenient location and the insulated privacy of their bunks. However, I was disappointed by the showers both in my room and in the communal bathroom. The drain in my room's shower didn't work at all my first night there. This meant that, because of the shower's accessible design, water would overflow straight onto the bathroom floor. They advertised hot showers, but the water in the communal bathroom was cold & the facilities weren't very clean.
