The hostel offers bike rentals, free fado and walking tours and the rooms have been decorated by local artists. The LLH was the first hostel in Lisbon, opened in 2005 as a project by four Portuguese. From the beginning the concept was simple: to give backpackers a first-class Lisbon experience at budget prices. Through the years we have continued to improve our service, and for multiple years we were voted the best Small Hostel in the World by Hostelworld.
Our services include free walking tours, free nightlife tours, bicycle rental, mini bar and free coffee and tea all day. For a low cost you can join other guests for our three-course hostel dinner, cooked by our talented Portuguese chef. We also offer cheap van tours (during summertime) to the romantic historical town of Sintra and the local beaches.
Were located in the heart of Lisbon's historic Baixa district, the main tourist center of the city. The hostel is just around the corner from the iconic Rua Augusta, a grand and beautiful mosaic-tiled pedestrian street capped by a colossal arch. A short stroll will also take you to the charming suburb of Alfama, the oldest part of Lisbon and the home of Fado, the music of Portugal. At night you can walk to the famous Bairro Alto, a labyrinth of bars and street parties. All forms of public transport, including the airport shuttle and the Cascais beach train line, are within very short walking distance of our hostel.

Please note: We will charge the first night's room rate as a refundable deposit. A city tax of 2€ per person per night will be charged on top of your bill and it should be paid on site. This tax is charged to guests aged 13 and older. It is subject to a maximum amount of 7€ per guest.

We stayed 2 nights in a 4 person dorm in Lisbon Lounge Hostel. The location could not be better for exploring the city as it is located in between main sites. Our room was on the top floor with an amazing balcony. The room was clean and quiet, we had a good night of sleep here. Overall our experience was good, the place lacks atmosphere a little bit but serves as a calm and relaxing place in an otherwise busy city.

The location is perfect if you want to be in the middle of the touristy area of the city, otherwise I'd look a bit further. The rooms were super spacious. Beds were comfy and there was a reading light in each. The lockers under the beds were huge. There were three showers per floor, which seemed few, but we didn't need to queue for a shower once. Overall a nice experience.

Wonderful staff, no problem arriving with a late plane at night. Nice breakfast with cookers in the kitchen.

I'd have to say the most unique thing about our hostel is our three big lounges and the graffiti walls in every lounge. What also makes us special is that we offer an amazing and inspired environment about which guests can build their travel experience. They can easily meet new friends, form lasting life-time bonds, and feel at home without ever having to worry about the hassle or stress that can accompany traditional hotel travel. We hear from a lot of our guests that what they like the most about us is the familiar feeling of hanging out at home with friends. When they aren't out trekking the town they can meet other guests over our wonderful dinners, participate in one (or many) of our free day and night tours or sip on a signature house cocktail at our bar.
