Location is great, about 10mins to the metro and lots of good restaurants and bars locally. Unfortunately it was very quiet so not much atmosphere. We felt that when compared to hostels we've used in other parts of the world some basic things were missing: Soap in all the toilets, curtains that fully cover the windows, hooks in the showers for clothes. It was cheap though and the staff were very friendly.

Highly recommend this hostel! The people who run it are amazing people who are fun to talk to and provide great insight into things to do in Rio. Everything was clean and looked like the photos online and we were very satisfied with the state of our room. If you’re looking for a fun and funky place to stay in Rio, this is a great spot.

Great place to stay! Down to earth owner who gives solid recommendations and has an awesome record collection. Some of the showers and bathrooms are pretty tight, but other than that I can't complain. It's definitely a quieter hostel which was exactly what I was looking for during this portion of my trip (I actually had to switch after booking another hostel that was too noisy). Would go back!
