Owner is nice. That doesn't help the fact that there was practically no heating but a smal toaster like device that didn't really do the work. I wouldn't go there in winter as I did. The summer might be different.

The staff of San Remo was extremely kind and helpful with us. The neighborhood wasn't so near to the center and main attractions but the metro station was just around the corner. The rooms were tidy but they weren't super convenient. The bathroom was also always clean but honestly very impractical and uncomfortable. The kitchen did its duty but could have been more convenient. All in all we had very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend it to low prices-seeking backpackers especially :)

Fantastic hostel for the price. Stayed in a private room with lockable door (some earlier reviews indicated this was not the case) and working aircon, cheaper than a dorm room in a different hostel the night before. Staff not on-site all the time but are quickly contactable by phone/email to check in, front door always locked. Bathrooms and toilets are fine, not sure what all the "small size" fuss is about, yes on the smaller side but not a cubby hole! So convenient to access train and metro
