The Notso Hostel is located in the historic Elliotborough neighborhood of Charleston, South Carolina. We offer a variety of dorm rooms and private rooms at our Main location and a smaller selection of private rooms at our Annex location. We have a 15% surcharge when booking through Hostelworld rather than booking directly through our site. Please note- Taxes are not included in this price. We will charge the remainder of your stay at the time of booking rather than on arrival since we have a self check in system.
Included in our nightly rate are: linens and towels, private parking, oatmeal/coffee/tea, and wifi.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel within 48 hours of your reservation arrival date, you will be charged for the first two nights of your stay and the remainder of your reservation will be canceled.

Hostel is very clean and safe, with lots of room even in large dormitories. The location is a bit out of the way of main Charleston so you have to ride/bus/Uber there which costs extra. Not a super social hostel, most people just kept to themselves so wouldn’t recommend for solo travelling.
Overall a calm and quiet place to stay for a few nights if you are visiting!

was not given code to enter building and when I contacted them they told me they didn’t have a reservation under my name ….. I emailed them back with a screen shot of it and never herd anything back. had my mom call and text them on the number provided ( she was calling from Cañada) with no luck either . I was left stranded outside their building for an hour which left me no choice but to leave . Now I amin the process of disputing with the hostel and hostel world to get my money back… beware .
