Amazing place, one of my favourite hostels I've ever stayed in! Clean, social, beautiful view and great for co-working as well. Lots of fun day trips organized by the hostel too, so super easy for solo travellers!

I loved my stay at Aquarela. The staff were amazing, the property is gorgeous and there’s loads of activities and tours organised. The breakfast was really good too.
Was apprehensive about the area, however, couldn’t have felt more comfortable! Would highly recommend- one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in.

Nice hostel, clean and spacious. People are friendly, though it's not a very social atmosphere. Probably good for digital nomads, but was lacking for someone with just a few days in the city. The hostel also doesn't have a ton of events to facilitate the community, but does help with booking lots of tours, etc. Being in the favela is a cool experience and felt very safe. Sometimes the bathrooms needed to be cleaner, but otherwise no major complaints.
