Ranau Backpackers Hostel is a family-run hostel with a uniquely home away from home atmosphere.
Located right in the heart of Ranau and housed within a 2-storey corner shoplot, are within a few minutes' walk to supermarket, restaurants, banks, bus stops, night spots, the local post office and more.
We offer a selection of clean, comfortable and air-conditioned rooms to suit your needs.
Ranau Backpackers Hostel has four type of room available:
Two dorm style- 7beds (female) and 8beds (male) with air conditioning unit.
Single Room with ensuite bathroom and air conditioning unit.
Private Room will be king size bed/twin bedded room, ensuite bathroom with hot shower and with air-conditioned.
Family Room come with one king size bed and bunk beds with air conditioning (shared bathroom).
Bed sheets and linen are provided and all dorm rooms come with security lockers and shared bathroom(male and female separated) with 24hrs hot showers.

We couldn't even check in. There was nobody there at the reception. They didn't even answer our calls and messages. With the whole town booked, we were in the situation of sleeping on the street!

I wasn't expecting much and didn't get much. WiFi was bad, common area is not cozy, balcony with hammock was full with water after the rain. But, location is good if you just wana spend night, cause it is close to bus station. So, overall it was ok, as a rating shows.

Very nice hostel to stay at Ranau. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable although the AC just gets very cold. Free toast with jams all day is awesome and cleanliness is great. A little expensive but good backpacker hostel.
