This was a disappointing stay for us as we opted to stay 3 nights and only stayed for one. It was more the cleanliness more than anything. There were ants in our room and outside. There were ants all over the worktops where people are supposed to be cooking. The music played outside the room by the owner is too loud and you can’t sleep. It’s not in a good location at all. Wouldn’t recommend for backpackers

This is a great hostel if you’re flying from the airport or arriving late and want somewhere close by to stay. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy and have air con, though there’s no lockers and few plug sockets in the rooms. There’s a good kitchen with free coffee. Taxis to/from the old town are cheap and the 35 minute walk is easy in the day, though for convenience I’d recommend staying somewhere closer to the town if you’re staying more than a day or two.

Booked because of the high rating but was very confused from the moment we arrived. Extremely small, just in a man’s house who plays music outside on the street with a big speaker with him and his friends with all the doors open while you’re trying to sleep and you can hear everything. Because of the layout there’s no chance to socialise. The man was lovely so this review isn’t out of being annoyed, it’s just what I would have wanted to know before booking.
