Welcome to the biggest surf hostel in Puerto Escondido and the second Straw Hat Hostel in Mexico!

The first seed planted in Tulum on December 2019 and founded by a four-person team of travelers from Brazil and Mexico, starting as a party hostel, now we want to create the perfect combination of surf, party and relaxation in the best zone of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, the main surfing spot of the Mexican pacific. It's all about getting your stoke up whether it's in or out of the water.
Located in one of the most privileged areas of the town, between Zicatela and La Punta, and just 1 block from the beach.

To make you feel the whole experience that Straw Hat has for you, there are a few things that our facilities offers you.
Starting with best bar of Puerto Escondido where you’re gonna be able to enjoy a cold beer, a tasty cocktail or a refreshing cold coconut, served by the friendliest and funnier staff you could ever meet. Open all day everyday!
Our amazing restaurant with the best breakfasts, healthy juices and lunch, all of them by the pool! Self-service kitchen, free WiFi everywhere, our amazing co–working space, ideal for those who travel and work at the same time. 24-hour security, scooters and surfboards rental, an amazing pool in the middle of the facilities so you have access to all of the spaces, and of course all the best tips and advices by our incredible friendly staff to help you have the perfect staying. For us there’s nothing more important than personalized attention.

The compound consists of 20 comfortable, well-lit and spacious rooms sleeping between 2, 3, 6 and 8 people each, all of them with balcony. 10 of these rooms are private and located in the third floor, with the must stunning view to the Pacific Ocean. On the second floor you’ll find 5 mixed dorms and 1 female dorm, which also houses the extra bathrooms and showers for those who need it. And on the fist floor there are the 4 first 8 beds mixed dorms located on the area which also houses the co-working space, the community kitchen and reception. All dorms and private rooms are fully air conditioned and kept super clean by our amazing staff. Every dorm also has an en suite toilet with hot showers and lockers for each guest.

The entire property is a superb chilling area with multiple lounge benches, hammocks, chairs, puffs, and tables, all around our tropical garden and pool so you can relax in the sun, get your tan on and recover with yet another cold beer or a snack from our finger food menu!

As soon as the most beautiful sunset takes place, trendy tunes start to flow from the bar and the pool party takes full swing again. Enjoy an ice cold beer or cold coconut or simply sip on a tasty mixed cocktail as you party into the night with the best staff who’s gonna me make you have time of your life!

Straw Hat Surf Hostel - Terms & Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
If any changes are made during your stay we won't be able to do any refunds from the rest of the nights payed

Check in from 15:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit & debit cards.
This property may pre-authorize your card before arrival.
