Welcome to éthic étapes CIS Narbonne. The CIS is situated in the heart of Narbonne where, you can visit a variety of historic monuments and cultural heritage sites (Saint-Just Cathedral from the 13th century, museums, Canal du Midi, ...). But also you can enjoy your time at the theatre, cinema, bars and clubs, sport facilities...
You can discover wine treasures of the region (Languedoc, Corbières, Fitou, Minervois, la Clape), wander around the 'Pays Cathare' with many castles and mansions, spend some times at the beach (15km away from the town)
The centre was opened in 1969 and since then it has become well-known for its hospitality and a number of activities offered by the MJC (youth and culture center) seated in the same building.
In last years, more and more young people from abroad have been coming to spend couple of days or just travelling through tour lovely town.

The staff was ok but only one of them spoke english. The showers and toilets were nasty. It was so hot in out room that we could not sleap, the fan didnt help at all. The hostel seemed more like a school that a hostel. You could think from the description of the proparty that there is a washing machine for the quest to use, turn out ypu have to pay 5e for an hour.
There was four of us in the same room but we only got 1 key for the door.

First of all the manager at the hostel was terrible. She was so unfriendly and she had made up all these weird new rules. You are not allowed to eat any of your own food at the hostel facilities, you are not allowed to use the microwave OR kettle. At the breakfast you are only allowed to have one tiny croissant and we were promised to leave our luggage in a storage but later on found out it is not allowed on sundays?!Would not recommend! Only thing that worked was wifi and one sweet staffmember

Nice hostel for youth and groups. There were no towels nor safety lockers in the room (3 bed mixed dorm). There was a shower in the room, but toilets were on the hallway. The staff was superhelpful and arranged an earlier breakfast for me due to my early leave. Good hostel to catch even early trains, 10min walk from the train station!
