Gafsele Lapland Hostel

One of our guests described us as follows 'old school, which surprises with an authentic atmosphere, friendly hosts, super breakfast, and lovely sauna'. We host guests from all over the world for one-night stays up to some weeks.

The hostel is situated in the South of Lapland in Sweden. Our building is the former school of the village Gafsele, on the banks of the river Angermanalven. The building is a retro fifties building with lots of character and history. We like to tell you all about it.

Our clean and fresh rooms, sauna, and naturally beautiful rural setting invite you to relax and let go. We offer rooms with hostel standards: our rooms have modern bunk beds, and guests share toilets, showers, and a sauna. We only rent out per room. So everyone can have privacy.

The environment is a paradise for hunters, fishermen, hikers, cyclists, snow- and other outdoor lovers. Why not take a ride on one of our snow sparks? Or hop on one of our SUP boards for a paddling tour on the river. And if you do not trust your balance on the board, rent our rowing boat for a short trip. Visit the uninhabited islands in the river. Have a BBQ with us, in the woods. Or focus your visit on culture.

Cancellation policy: 7 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 22:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .
