Welcome to Hostel Villa Mary, the perfect place to stay in Taganga. We are well-located, only 2 blocks from the beach, only 100 metres or so. We are positioned away from the noise of the first street with nightclubs and bars, but close enough in order to make the most of the night life here in Taganga.
Due to the location and 24 hour reception, you are able to make the most of the night life here in Taganga. You´re able to walk back at whichever time without even having to take a taxi.
Our job here in Hostel Villa Mary is to provide our guests with a welcoming and comfortable stay. You can enjoy all the food that we prepare with a lot of love, breakfasts, vegetarian and vegan food, and our delicious Argentine-style pizzas, you can use the patio to relax with its calming atmosphere. You can spend the day reading a book in one of our hammocks or make new friends in our common area.
Furthermore, there will always be a person here that is able to give you advice and information in regards to anything in Taganga and its surroundings. In Villa Mary, we offer advice on making reservations at other hostels, camping, excursions, trekking, tours or reserving a seat on transport to the main touristic destinations in the region, such as: Parque Tayrona, Playa Bahia Concha, Playa Cristal, Palomino, Buritaca, Cabo de le Vela o Punta Gallina, Minca o Ciudad Perdida and a lot more.
Do you want to try your hand at a bit of scuba diving? Villa Mary offers access to some of the cheapest prices with the best company in Taganga, where professionalism and security are the basic elements for entering the sea in a safe and fun way.
Our hostel has 7 rooms with 28 beds available. We have a dormitory, as well as: double, triple and four person rooms (some available with air conditioning). Moreover, all the rooms are equipped with a private bathroom and fan.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and the hostel had a decent hippie vibe. But the facilities were not great - 10 bed dorm that was honestly quite cramped, half of the lockers didn't work because the staff could not find the key for them, only one shower for 10 people (though 2 toilets), not very clean; would have been a nightmare if the dorm was full. A/C worked technically but was not super cool. I stayed only one night and promptly moved to a much better hostel.

The staff was very nice to us (even though we didn’t talk much due to us not speaking Spanish). There‘s a big kitchen but only few other travellers stayed there while we were around. The dorm was fine with an en-suite bathroom (not luxury at all). The room even had an AC. It‘s good to stay for one or two nights, but isn’t as social (:

We stayed in a private room for 2 nights and it felt like it wasn‘t used for a long time. The aircon needed some hours to work properly, there was no water on the first evening and when the water was on again, the shower was only barely running (like a weak garden hose). The information online with the included breakfast ist wrong. There was coffee, but on the second day it was already empty at 9am. All in all a kinda weird place with a loud neighborhood. We were not a fan of Taganga.
