Welcome to the Great Wall Box House, locates at the most traditional but non-touristy Chinese village -- Gubeikou, 120 km to Beijing. It's a 100-year-old Si-He-Yuan house among the mountain, the east-side-wall of the house is a part of the Great Wall. So our house is located in the countryside, not in DOWNTOWN Beijing.

Amazing place. A bit hard to find at first but after that wow. We chilled here for few days and did some hikes at the wall (which is really close by). They have amazing vegetarian food and nice atmosphere. And I loved the cats

Great place next to the Great wall. Cats are adorable and friendly. Toilets are clean and showers have hot water and shampoo etc. Good common area. We were the only guests and they cooked us breakfast and dinner. Food was delicious and we could choose what time we want it. Very good value for the money. Town is not faraway if you want to buy snacks etc and train station is 4km away.
