This hostel is not right in the middle of York but it is about a 15 min walk to the city centre, the hostel was clean although the ensuite bathroom did not have a shower curtain which meant the whole bathroom was wet.

Safestay at York was so great! One of my best hostel experiences for sure. All the staff members were so lovely and helpful, especially Brad, it was obvious from my short time here how much work and care he put into running the hostel. And on my first night, he kindly took us out and showed us around. It was such a great and fun experience and I felt welcomed and safe right away. Our room was clean and beautiful with a window seat looking onto the gardens.Bonus of bathroom inside dormroom. LOVE!
