Located in Santiago's ex aristocractic neighborhood Brasil which is now a patrimonial area. La Casa Roja is situated just a few hundred metres from 4 different metro stations. Close to Bars, Restaurants and Nightlife. Just a 10 min walk to the city centre and numerous of santiagos most popular tourist attracions, plus banks and moneychangers. Just a short walk to the airport bus. Safe, well lit area with plenty of pedestrian traffic, the sector boasts some of the cities finest architecture

Ok hostel, the dorms next to the road are loud. 2000CLP for a towel is stingy, should be included and it being not makes it feel like a business rather than a cozy hostel.

One of my favorite hostels. Staff were SO kind and accommodating, in a gorgeous, historic building, in a safe neighborhood walking distance to a lot of great spots (including 5 mins from the subway). The setting comes at the price of a few uneven floors, etc. but I was happy to find there was consistent hot water and high pressure in the showers. We stayed in a private queen room, no ensuite, and could not have been more comfy. For the most part it was quiet and peaceful – not a party hostel.
