After a few months' rebuilt it finally reopens again in Jun 2017.There are 7 double bed rooms and 15 dorms in total, all ensuite . There are a huge courtyard as well as a cool terrace,and free WIFI all over the hostel.
As the only one International Youth Hostel in Lujiazui area, it is ideally located in the most central area of Shanghai. Less than 10 minutes walking to the two metro stations (line 4 connected the central railway station , line 2 connected the HongQiao airport (SHA) and PuDong international airport (PVG). It is around 15 mins to go to riverside on foot and less than half an hour to walk to Lujiazui.

Cockroaches in room, leftover takeout food and half finished Mcdonalds soda cups in room by guests. When I asked the front desk staff to clean it, they said "tomorrow." Chunks of hair in shared bathrooms, leftover underwear hanging in shower stall. Dripping air conditioner in room. Towels were not provided for shared room, or not offered for rental. Front desk staff told me to buy them at a convenience store. However, the hostel has towels available for private rooms. The irony.

Staffs were super friendly but rooms were bit dirty and not match with pictures you know. But for me it was okay to be there just few days 😇

There were cockroaches in the bathroom and in the doorway. a rather unpleasant smell of mold and relative cleanliness.
