Situated in the lap of nature, Zostel Ooty is a backpacker hostel that allows you to mingle with fellow travellers over bonfires & hikes. It was a good stay here. I booked the 4 room dorm and it was on the opposite side of a door to the kitchen and was noisy when trying to sleep early. The food was good and the location is great.

The rooms were spacious and the beds were clean and spacious. It was super easy to meet people here. There are spaces indoors and outdoors to chill. The female dorm was extremely loud. It’s right next to the kitchen/dining area so you’ll hear everything going on. You’ll also hear people walking upstairs. If you don’t mind that, it’s a good room. But I personally would go for the mixed dorms.

Fine, nothing special. Staff helpful but kind of cold, charging for a fire seemed a bit ridiculous, like they aren't interested in fostering a social environment.
